A French butter dish is perfect for serving soft room temperature butter, with no need for refrigeration. You fill the bottom portion of the jar about 1/3 full of water, just enough so the rim of the lid touches it, creating air tight seal. This keeps your butter soft unrefrigerated, and stays fresher.

The dish is approximately 3 1/2 inches tall.

All of my pottery is dishwasher and microwave safe.
