Winnie the Pooh (or Pooh for short) is an anthropomorphic teddy bear who is the titular protagonist of the whole franchise of his namesake. He first debuted in Disney's 1966 short Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree. He is depicted as a stuffed toy belonging to Christopher Robin with golden fur, and a red shirt. Pooh’s most prominent traits are his love of honey and reputation as a “bear of very little brains.” Pooh is based on the character of the same name from the books written by A.A. Milne.
