Prep:
The Prep is the most important step of the process, our coating is great but it can not do the prep work for you!

1. Decontaminate the wheel surface using Armour Detail Supply Wheel Cleaner, followed by removing further embedded contamination with a clay bar or synthetic clay mitt.
2. If swirl marks, or scratches are present, polish the paint to reduce any surface defects and create maximum gloss.
3. Use our Armour Detail Supply Panel Prep to remove any oils/residue left from your polishing step. If you did not polish the surface, repeat this step twice to ensure a clean surface.

You are ready to apply Armour Wheel Coating!

Application:
1. After thorough prep prime the applicator with 3 lines start and each subsequent application will only need a small amount, a little goes a long way. 
2. Apply Armour Wheel Coating one wheel at a time. Apply using a methodical back and forth or crosshatch motion making sure to have even coverage. Allow the product to “set up” for 1-3minutes depending on temperature/humidity (generally 1-2 minutes). Look for light hazing to appear before removing.
3. In a small circular motion level coating 95%+ on 1st wipe (short nap, pearl weave), the first wipe will have a slight grab to it, but the product should be picked up easily. If the coating begins to smear, it needs additional time to setup. If the product is very hard to remove, it needs less time before removal. Switch to 2nd towel (plush) for final leveling. Check for any streaks, or high spots which can appear as cloudy or dark spots. Repeat this process per wheel.
4. Use a fresh side of the towel every wheel. 

We highly recommend applying 2 layers for maximum benefits and durability. If you wish to apply multiple layers allow 1-2 hours between layers.

After Care:
Allow product to sit 12 hours at minimum for initial cure. After 4 hours you can apply our Armour Detail Supply AMPLIFY or Ceramic Spray Sealant to protect the coating during its initial cure. After 12 hours the vehicle can be driven and get wet. Do not wash or induce to chemicals for 7 days.

If the coating begins to smear, it needs additional time to setup. If the product is very hard to remove, it needs less time before removal. Switch to 2nd towel (plush) for final leveling. Check for any streaks, or high spots which can appear as cloudy or dark spots. Repeat this process per panel.
4. Halfway through the vehicle or as the applicator starts to harden, flip the applicator over to a fresh side.
5. Use a fresh side of the towel every other panel.

Application:

Application:
1. For optimal results, spray Panel Prep evenly onto the desired surface and allow it to dwell for 15-30 seconds to effectively dissolve unwanted oils.

Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel Alloy Wheel Cleaner 1 Litre Spray Bottle/5 Litre Jerry Can
A non-acid, non-alkaline wheel cleaner that quickly and in over 90% of cases touch less reactive wheel cleaner.

In most cases steel and alloy wheels are either lacquered or painted these coatings protect the metallic surface from corrosion and provide attractive finishes to automotive road wheels.

As vehicles brake the dust generated from pads discs and drums is at elevated temperatures, amongst this hot cloud are thousands of particles of hot metallic particles, these bombard the wheel finishes and effectively embed themselves in the finish.

Once lodged they are extremely difficult to remove, acid based wheel cleaners attack these metal particles and effectively attack the particle reducing its size allowing the particle and dirt clinging to it to escape, caustic wheel cleaners are less effective than acid ones on brake dust but can attack organic coatings such as lacquers and paints on short exposure they attack any organic matter accumulated around the embedded particle and produce a seemingly clean surface, however with continued use they will dull and diminish the coating, leaving a wheel surface that needs refinishing.

Auto-wheel’s pH neutral formulations reacts with the oxidising surface of the metallic particle rendering it water soluble, the rapid removal of this microscopically rusted surface reduces the embedded particle size and releases it from the surface, unlike acids this method is harmless to the wheel’s finish and in fact so fast it cleans more effectively – the reaction is seen by a rapid colour change from clear to deep red, after which a simply hose or rinse leaves the wheel spotless. With increasing restrictions on the use of solvent-containing degreasers and cleaners safer, water-based materials have been developed. However it has been difficult to match the performance of the solvent-containing systems and increasing environmental restrictions on the ranges of acceptable water-based actives have further tested the formulators’ ability. Bilt-Hamber surfex HD provides performance levels that match and even exceed solvent systems while meeting the latest standards of biodegradability. surfex HD attacks all oil and grease based soiling, but unlike solvent based cleaners will additionally and effortlessly clean organic, or water deposited grime. Surfex HD can be adjusted in strength to suit the level of soil, remaining active at add levels of just 1 part to 200 in water for light work, or used neat for extreme duty. Surfex HD is recommended for all arduous automotive, commercial and domestic cleaning duties. Can be used on paint, alloy wheels, tyres, fabric, carpets and most surfaces. Spot tests are always advisable. Surfex HD can be sprayed, brushed or applied using pressure washer equipment.

A Comparison
Surfex HD contains zero VOC’s, is biodegradable, non-toxic and pleasant to use, yet it’s ability to remove grease and oil based contamination exceeds many well-know solvent based degreasers. Using water-based degreasers allows the adjustment of strength to suit the job, Surfex HD can be added to water at just 0.5% to form an effective cleaner for light application and increased in strength to neat if required for heavy industrial applications.

Detailing Kingdom Next Cut 1.1 - 500ml/4 Litre
Detailing Kingdom Next Cut 1.1 has been designed from the ground up with the latest compound technology.  Next Cut 1.1 is a water based diminishing abrassive compound utilising a homogenous grain that has been specifically designed to be used on hard and soft clear coats.  It can eliminate deep scratches (P1500) and due to the diminishing abrassives, will also leave a high gloss finish.  To further enhance the finish we recommend following with Next Cut Finale.  
On softer paints where some users can experience 'stickiness' due to heat build up, we recommend spraying the pad with Detailing Kingdom Celebrate which will not only help to reduce the temperature but will also act as a lubricant.

Next Cut 1.1 has been designed to produce little to no dust and polish residue can be removed with absolute ease.  It really is quite a unique compound.

For an exhnaced finish as a one step compound on minor defects, Next Cut 1.1 can be combined with FDT or FDC.  For this, users would add 4 pea size drops of Next Cut 1.1 and 2-3 of FDT or FDC and polish as usual.  The finish will be extremely glossy and protected.

Detailing Kingdom Next Cut Finale - 500ml/4 Litre
Detailing Kingdom Next Cut Finale is a water based diminishing abrassive anti-hologram polish.  Next Cut Finale can be used to further exhance the finish after polishing with Next Cut 1.1 or Next Cut 3.3.  Next Cut Finale can also be used to remove light defects such as 5000 grit sanding marks, fine microscratches, and swirl marks. 

Next Cut Finale has been designed to produce little to no dust and polish residue can be removed with absolute ease.

We recommend following Next Cut Finale with Detailing Kingdom FDT or FDC sealant to protect the finish and make it easier to clean.
