Masking tape is my favorite way to mask a watercolor. For those that are just starting out with watercolor, masking is a way to protect areas of your painting, while you paint around them. Then the mask can be removed and you can leave those areas white or you can paint them.

Lorraine Watry is an award winning watercolor artist and Signature member of the National Watercolor Society. Lorraine’s watercolor paintings of flowers, landscapes, glass, and metal depict quiet moments full of light and color. Lorraine enjoys passing on her knowledge of watercolor and teaches workshops and classes, and gives demonstrations.
