The Inflating Charm (Inflatus) was a charm (sometimes referred to as a jinx) that inflated the target. In the late 19th century, an unidentified Hogwarts student cast the Inflating Charm on Dorraway. They received a Howler from their guardian after the incident. In the 1980s and early 1990s, students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry would commonly use this spell against their opponent in the Duelling Club. In August 1993, Harry Potter accidentally used this charm on his aunt Marjori
