New Solar-Powered Flyer GMT Divers From Seiko Prospex

Seiko Prospex introduces its first solar watch with a GMT hand, powered by the in-house built new calibre of 5K62. The watch shape is affectionately named ‘Sumo’ by Seiko fans because of its size and shape and the 12 o’clock marker – it’s a substantially strong looking timepiece. The Lumibrite colour on the 24-hour hand is high in visibility underwater and the aqua coloured dial produces vibrant accents to the elegantly pressed pattern design.

There are just 1,500 pieces of this limited edition 1968 Seiko mechanical diver’s re-interpretation available worldwide. Inspired by the need to protect and preserve the Arctic Ocean, the silver-coloured textured dial of this watch depicts the surface of an ice glacier, whilst the GMT hand and 24-hour scale are in a striking ‘Arctic Blue’ shade to resemble the harsh sea.
