Kawasaki’s Z800 was the most affordable CBU available from Team Green in India, and also the most affordable four-cylinder model in the lineup. If you preferred a little more oomph and a lot more style, there was the Z1000 as well. The Z900 will replace both models in most markets with a combination of light weight, and in the case of the Z800, more power. The Z900 clocks in at 12bhp more than the Z800 and weighs a massive 23kg less, thanks to a new trellis frame. Its performance is further enhanced by a short ratio gearbox. The clutch is now a slipper clutch with assist technology, which means the lever is light and progressive. There isn’t any ride-by-wire throttle or any other modern electronics to speak of, with the exception of ABS. The suspension is adjustable for everything except compression.
